Corporate world (microcosm of our society) reflects its Political nature, power-centric affiliations & lacks loyalty. But that is the nature of the animal. Often in the course of coaching C-Suite leaders, one hears gory tales of how suddenly & unceremoniously leaders are laid-off. These leaders ruefully narrate experiences of sudden rejection with their team members & colleagues (who until the night before) swore alliances. Upon the break of the 'grey-dawn' they refused to even recognise them.

Leaders need to be realistic. They realise nature of the ‘Corpo-politico’ system, the hard way. What they really rue are not words of the enemies but silence of their friends.
