If 'Win-Win' was an option, I would say aim for it. I certainly see the virtues of it. In this context, if the other guy lost as you won, I would certainly say you are a poor winner ! But if nature of the contest was such that only ONE could Win, I would say you better be the winner ! There is no altruism about it. If you run, you run to win !!! The other guys in the race are running to win too. Just because you don't attack the tiger, it would be foolish to expect the tiger not to attack you ! Positive spirit is critical. But it should not blunt your winning edge. Don't give up on your killer instinct to win. Don't use positive spirit as an excuse.
