Yes...it is always prudent to evaluate options of life with open eyes so that you are not only fully aware of all the options but also totally accountable for what you choose.That is classical logic. However, at times it may be much better for one to keep his eyes totally shut or view it thru partly shut eyes. If you don't do that...you will indeed miss the picture as you may otherwise get caught in theclassical loop of your evaluation. Wisdom is about knowing when to view the things with open eyes, when to view it with shut eyes and when with partly open eyes...only experience of life teaches you that.
