A leadership that abbrogates investing time & resources to sharpen its talent edge, soon realises that its strategy & plans remain but an exercise indulged in futility. The dull edges of a knife can spread but only 5% of its sharpened edge can cut challenging surfaces ! Without its cutting-edge, the knife is as good as any flat metal piece !. Talent is similar...unless it has a sharp edge, it will not be able to cut, sever & carve thru the challenging situations that it has to face in uncertain & volatile markets. Sermons and empty Leadership homilies are counter productive. To cleave through Market challenges, Leadership needs to roll-up its sleeves and take charge to continuously sharpen its talent-edge !!!
