Two Differing Views

A disruptive team member who tries to not pass the ball on to others but holds on to controlling the ball by dodging others through-out, will neither be able to hit the goal himself, nor will co-operate to support the collective team efforts required to achieve the goal. Such a dog will himself get exhausted half way thru the game due to energy loss, will keep running in circles without focus and will be the most hated dog in the group. In the minds of the others, this dog has lost despite having great dodging skills because he was not inclusive, did not let others participate and play and also in the process lost the match. The others expect him to be terminated from the team for disruptive behavior.

It is only in his own mind that the disruptive player believes that the others didn't know the goal, were singularly and collectively incompetent ... they did not have the skills without him playing the Solo role to win the game, that it was not a team game at all and that the winner was the one who held on to the ball the longest without allowing others to even touch it. He believes that he actually won despite all efforts the other dogs made to disturb him from achieving the target to play the game that he thought he was playing ! He thus looks forward to his rewards.

Two differing views - one right view, the other, a wrong view and both genuinely believe that they are heroes and thus need to be rewarded !!

Have you experienced such a situation at your work-place ... where the game is lost but all believe they are winners ?
