Every key is unique to the lock it is designed for. Same solutions can't help solve all problems. This is where all great leaders generally, tend to falter.
Most people have their own favorite theories, their preferred resources, their unique strengths or their one hot style ... and they try to use that dominant resource, success model, smart strategy or peculiar style all the time for all the problems. Unfortunately, this does not work and then they fail.
Another lock in which you tried the earlier key may have with serendipity worked possibly because the lock or its levers may have been weak or damaged. Do not blunder and start believing that you now hold on to some unique Master Key that can magically open locks more than the original lock for which it was designed. It is this randomness of success if not laced with wisdom that leads to subsequent falls ... for the other locks in which you may try to use that key , may not have weak levers.
Solutions need to be uniquely designed to match the problem, it's challenges, the special context, the peculiar situation and the unique circumstances. The idiosyncracy of trying to open all locks with the same key may randomly even work but cannot be a fool-proof, repeatable solution. Thus the need for Design thinking .
Be Smart. Know that Unique locks have Unique Keys. Unmindful extention with random success, is not the science. It can only be a uniform key to failure !
